North Hampton Man Charged with Assault

Andrey Sukhorukov allegedly pushed his girlfriend out a business door on Market Street in Portsmouth last week.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — A local man was arrested for assault last week in Portsmouth, according to police. Andrey Sukhorukov, 47, of Atlantic Avenue in North Hampton, was arrested at 10:20 p.m. on Oct. 13, 2016, on a domestic violence-simple assault charge.

Police were sent to Market Street for a report of a staffer witnessing a man push his girlfriend out the front door onto the sidewalk, according to a report. The woman came back into the establishment and was not injured. Police took a description of the man and caught up with him later. Sukhorukov was then arrested.
