Local Piano Teacher Wins Prestigious Award
A North Hampton instructor has won a coveted performance prize with her ensemble, The Russian Trio.

Music Makers piano instructor Katherine Harris Rick and her ensemble, The Russian Trio, have been awarded the Coleman Chamber Music Competition’s Coleman-Barstow Prize for Strings after their performance in the annual event, which was held in Los Angeles on April 27.

The prize included $4,000 and inclusion in the formal winners’ concert in Caltech’s Ramo Auditorium the following day.
