Pedestrian Struck on Ashworth Avenue: Hampton Police

Investigators are asking for witnesses to come forward if they saw a pedestrian who was struck on May 23, near L Street.

HAMPTON, NH — The Hampton Police Department is asking for the public to come forward if they witnessed a motor vehicle accident last night on Ashworth Avenue and L Street in town, according to a press release. At just after 9 p.m. on May 23, 2017, officers were sent to the intersection for a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian. The pedestrian was a 63-year-old man, according to Deputy David Hobbs of the Hampton Police Department.

“The Hampton Fire Department treated the victim at the scene and transported him to Exeter Hospital,” he noted. “The driver in the case has been identified and the accident is still under investigation.”

No charges have been filed, he noted. However, police are asking any witnesses or anyone who has information about the incident to contact police or the Crimeline for the Hamptons.
