Big Crowd, Costume Fun at Surf Contest
Twice as many contestants helped make this weekend's costume-filled Molly Surf Celebration a success.
About 80 children came out to surf over the weekend during the kids' portion of the third annual , which is twice as many children as the previous year of the event.
The Molly Surf Celebration raises money for and awareness about the Molly Fund, which is a nonprofit charity benefitting children battling cancer in honor of Molly Rowlee. Rowlee, of Hampton, .
The celebration, held on Saturday and Sunday, also included an adult contest. Another 80 individuals participated in that portion of the festivities, which encouraged outrageous costumes.
