This picture is just too beautiful for a stupid pun or joke about giant snails invading North Beach.
I'll spare you the usual jokes with this North Beach sunrise picture, which needs no introduction, let alone humor that'll take away from its beauty.
Photographer Jacqui Graham did provide one with the above Photo of the Day submission, though, as she said she's "hoping this winter doesn't crawl along at a snail's pace!" As much as I like some of what winter brings, I have to agree — I'm not quite ready for a long, cold winter.
