Plumbers Cited in Hampton for Unlicensed Work

Citations issued for unlicensed gas work in Hampton
HAMPTON, NH - New Hampshire State Fire Marshal J. William Degnan, in conjunction with Hampton Fire Chief Jameson Ayotte and Police Chief Richard Sawyer, announced the issuance of citations to two individuals found performing fuel gas fitting and plumbing without licenses at a Hampton beach home, according to an alert on May 3, 2016.
On April 22, 2016, an Inspector from the NH State Fire Marshal’s Office – Mechanical Safety Section was performing licensing compliance inspections when he came across two men working on a renovation project at 40 Brown Avenue. The Inspector identified the men as employees of Guerin Plumbing and Heating of Webster, MA.

Reggione A. Than of Danielson, CT, was charged with one count of plumbing without a license. Kevin S. Blackwood of Oxford, MA, was charged with fuel gas fitting without a license.
Both are due in 10th Circuit Court in Seabrook on June 9, 2016 to answer to the Class B Misdemeanor charges.

“Often times those individuals who are found performing unlicensed work are not aware of the current code or safety standards here in our state,” Degnan stated, ”this can lead to serious injury or death for our residents.”
