“These charges stemmed from an investigation into an assault of a civilian assigned to the Hampton Police Parking Enforcement Division,” according to Lt. Daniel Gidley of the Hampton Police Department.

Where Spear was arrested, Gidley noted, he was allegedly in possession of a concealed firearm without a valid permit, so that charge was added to his docket.

Spear was arraigned in Seabrook District Court and released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail.
