The Portsmouth and the Seacoast Restaurant Week begins today and continues through Saturday, March 31. That means a slew of local businesses like the , and the , as well as just about the entire restaurant scene in Portsmouth, will have some great deals and dishes this weekend.

2. Rock Out for a Good Cause: Two students are holding a benefit concert Friday night called "Light the Night" to raise money for the Dear Jack Foundation to benefit leukemia patients.
Emmalyn Sullivan and Allison Berman's senior seminar project begins at 6 p.m. Friday in the school's dining hall. The concert will feature local bands STAY, Brookline Drive, Me vs Gravity, and BoomBoom Crash, and costs $7 at the door.
3. See a Free Movie: Lane Memorial Library is hosting a free showing of the Oscar-winning movie "The Descendants" at 2 p.m. Saturday.
4. Be Prepared For Slight Traffic Delays: If you plan to head down to the beach this weekend, be prepared for it to take you slightly longer than usual if you get there via Route 101.
For the next two months, there will be a near bridge over Route 1 due to bridge repairs.
5. Go to a Heavenly Ball: You can help raise money for a good cause Saturday night by attending a music- and festivity-filled fourth annual Annie's Angels Heavenly Ball Fundraiser at Portsmouth Harbor Events and Conference Center at 100 Deer St. in Portsmouth.
