Rockingham County Sheriff’s Dispatcher Faces Computer Charges
Christopher Rice of Rochester, a civilian dispatcher, faces 6 charges after a multi-week investigation by New Hampshire State Police.

EPPING, NH — A man from Rochester is facing multiple charges after being accused of inappropriately using county computer equipment to access information without authorization.
On Sept. 9, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office requested New Hampshire State Police investigate a civilian dispatcher, Christopher Rice, 32, of Rochester, who was accused of utilizing the department’s computer system to access the State Police Online Telecommunications System to access driver’s license when he was not allowed to.
After the investigation, a warrant was issued for his arrest, Amber Lagace, the public information officer for state police, said.

Rice surrendered to state police on Oct. 20 and was charged with three misdemeanor counts of computer-related offenses and three misdemeanor counts of records and certifications. He was released on personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned on Dec. 12 in the 10th Circuit Court in Brentwood.
