Five Arrested on Forgery Charges in Salem
Police arrest Nashua woman, four from Philadelphia after alleged counterfeit money incidents at Market Basket, Marshalls, and Home Depot.
SALEM, NH - Police apprehended five people yesterday afternoon after allegedly passing counterfeit money at local stores.
Arrested on Dec. 21, 2015, were:
- Helen Nascimento, 26, pictured in the lower left hand corner, of Nashua, for forgery and theft by deception.
- Nicole Jackson, 28, of Philadelphia, PA, pictured in the lower right hand corner, for forgery and theft by deception.
- Stephen Wolo, 25, of Philadelphia, PA, who was charged with forgery and theft by deception (pictured upper left).
- Kelvin Jarlee, 23, pictured in the middle, of Philadelphia, PA, who was charged with forgery, theft by deception, false report, simple assault, and two counts of possession of controlled drugs.
- Prince Zuah, 29, of Philadelphia, PA, for forgery, theft by deception, and false reports (pictured on the upper right).

According to police, at around 5:30 p.m., officers were sent to Market Basket on South Broadway for a report of several subjects attempting to pass counterfeit bills.

When they arrived at the scene, officers located the suspects and were met by Market Basket managers. Employees at Marshalls also met with police and alleged that the group had been in that store passing the funny money.
“During the course of the investigation, two additional suspects were located after they had passed counterfeit bills at the Home Depot,” according to Lt. Joel Dolan of the Salem Police Department. “As officers were speaking to the suspects, one male fled the scene on foot and was quickly apprehended and taken into custody.”
All five suspects will be arraigned in Salem District Court this morning, according to police.
According to a post on PennLive.com, Zuah was arrested in August 2014 for allegedly stabbing another person in Harrisburg, PA.
