Seacoast 9s Honored at Fisher Cats Game

The Seacoast 9s, an Cal Ripken all-star team of local 9-year-old boys, were honored Sunday at the New Hampshire Fisher Cats game in Manchester for an exciting season that recently ended with a second place finish in the New England Regional Tournament.

Parent Mark Simone said it "was pretty cool" to see the boys, who come from Hampton, North Hampton and Hampton Falls, take their positions on the field with their Fisher Cats counterparts during the national anthem.

The Seacoast 9s earlier this month in the championship game of the Cal Ripken New England Regional Tournament, which was held in Hebron, Conn.

The Seacoast 9s had dispatched in fashion during the tournament, although Berwick proved to be their foil, as the in an earlier round of the tournament.

Congratulations to a remarkable team, and thanks to Mark Simone, Kelly Britton and Margaret Allen for the various updates and photos about the players.
