Seacoast DWI Checkpoint Nets 12 Arrests
Men from Salem and Stratham were among the individuals charged with alcohol or drug offenses.
A local sobriety checkpoint organized by multiple law enforcement agencies over the weekend lead to many drunk driving arrests, according to information released by New Hampshire State Police Troop A.
Lt. Gary Wood, the Troop A commander, said 12 arrests were made Friday night during a Route 1A checkpoint in Seabrook that screened 439 vehicles and was conducted with state police, the and the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.
The following individuals were charged Friday night:

- Matthew Pacdui, 24, of Salem, was charged with driving while intoxicated.
- David A. Walsh, 58, of Rowley, Mass., was charged with DWI/drugs, possession of a controlled drug and possession of a narcotic drug.
- Joseph A. Locke, 19, of Amesbury, Mass., was charged with possession and transportation of a controlled drug and operating after suspension.
- Rachelle L. Desantis, 27, of Methuen, Mass., was charged with DWI.
- Phillip G. Colson, 39, of Salem, was charged with DWI.
- Katherine Salmon, 20, of New Ipswich, was charged with DWI.
- Thomas P. Russo, 31, of Brockton, Mass., was charged with DWI.
- Sandra J. Saltamartina, 53, of Hampstead, was charged with DWI.
- Melissa Mennella, 30, of Warwick, R.I., was charged with DWI.
- Benjamin Hannon, 22, of Salem, was charged with DWI (subsequent offense).
- Dominic Russo, 63, of Brockton, Mass., was charged with DWI.
- Jeffrey Heuer, 49, of Stratham, was charged with habitual offender and was also arrested on an in-state warrant.
All subjects arrested were scheduled for arraignment in .
Wood said state police are "committed to using the Sobriety Checkpoint as a tool to deter, detect, and apprehend the impaired driver."
