Student Candy Art on Display at Marelli's
"Why yes, this candy is supposed to taste like clay."
As tempting as it may look, don't try and eat these candy bars and sweet treats on display at .
The shop is normally a great place to go and buy sweets, but there's a special table erected right now featuring clay candy creations made by sixth graders.
You won't have to worry about cavities with these treats, although something tells me you might need a dentist to repair your teeth and/or drill the clay out of your mouth if you mistankingly bite into these pieces of art.

Here's what Karen Raynes had to say about the display, which she photographed and shared with us:
On display for a limited time are the cleaver creations of the Hampton Academy 6th grade students: clay candy. Created with direction from art teacher Dona Boardman, these treats look like the real thing. The Reese's peanut butter cup looks good enough to bite into and the Necco Wafers match the colors of the original edible ones. Come in and check out this whimsical collection of student art at Marelli's.
