Sunlight Foundation Commends Stiles

State Senator called second most effective Senator in New Hampshire.

The Sunlight Foundation, a nonpartisan nonprofit pushing for open government, ranked state Sen. Nancy Stiles, R-Hampton, the second most effective Senator in the state, according to a new report.

The ranking is based on Stile’s record of sponsoring successful legislation during the 2013-14 Session. She sponsored 12 bills that made it into law during the last two years.

State Sen. Sharon Carson, R-Londonderry, was named the most effective Senator, sponsoring 34 bills that were approved, half of which were also passed by the Democratically-controlled New Hampshire House.
