Back to School Shopping Could Cost You $70
Here are some inexpensive supply options for your son or daughter this upcoming school year.

Each year, local school districts release lists of recommended supplies for incoming students.
Using a neighboring school district's list for sixth grade students, we scoured the land (OK, just the Internet) to try and find you some low prices on some of those items.
The prices below come from product listings on Walmart.com and Staples.com. You'd be smart, though, to also take some time to shop around because even with their "big box" prices you could be spending north of $60 to satisfy your school's needs.

The official list we used didn't include a backpack, but you may need to purchase one — possibly this inexpensive one at Walmart.
