Tweedie Receives 'A' Rating from National Rifle Association

State Senate Republican from Rye says he supposed 2nd Amendment rights.

RYE, NH — Seacoast businessman, National Rifle Association member and Republican candidate for District 24’s State Senate seat, Ray Tweedie, has received an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association in 2016, according to a press statement. Tweedie said that as a lifelong Republican, an NRA member and a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and the Constitution, he was honored to receive the rating.

“As your next State Senator I will protect your constitutional right to bear arms and your God given right to protect yourself, your family and your property," he said. “When I was a young boy my father educated and trained me to properly use and store a firearm. Since that day, I have been a strong advocate for others’ ability to own firearms for sport, collection and protection because I believe the Constitution of the United States is very clear. We have the right to bear arms and this is why one of the first bills I will sponsor in Concord will be Constitutional Carry.”

Senate District 24 consists of Greenland, Hampton, Hampton Falls, Kensington, Newton, New Castle, North Hampton, Rye, Seabrook, Stratham and South Hampton.
