VIDEO: Fall of the Sand Sculptures
The sculptor of the Tim Thomas tribute and residents look on as bulldozers reclaim this year's masterpieces.
They may not have been reclaimed by rising tides or trampled under the foot of an unruly child, although the art from this year's sand sculpting competition ultimately met the same fate Wednesday as any sand castle.
Bulldozers effortlessly topped and tore through the 10 entries in this year's Wednesday as hundreds of onlookers cheered and gasped.
One by one, the creations that fell, with excavation crews working almost like repo men tasked with bringing the imported sand back to Hudson.

The video above is a collection of reactions from some of the onlookers, as well as some comments from , who created an immensely popular sand sculpture of Boston Bruins "MVP" goalie Tim Thomas -- which Grady said fell apart more gracefully than Vancouver Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo ever could.
More importantly, though, the video above showcases the mighty fall of several sculptures and the childish joy that comes with their destruction.
