Last week, we told you 13-year-old Liam Viviano, a seventh grader, was set to begin to benefit a local cancer charity started by his mother, who succumbed to breast cancer in 2009.
Viviano began his Hoops for a Cure quest with free throws during halftime at two Jan. 13 basketball games, and he has since been three-pointing, free-throwing and hook-shotting his way to completing the tribute for his mother.
Viviano was sinking free throws at WHS Tuesday afternoon, so we caught up with him and his father to shoot the above video about the teen's efforts and motivation as he cruised past shot No. 1,110.
