now for the seventh annual Striped Bass Tournament for Kids sponsored by
Mercedes-Benz and Holloway Automotive on Sunday, June 22nd at the
Wentworth Marina.

The catch and release Striped Bass tournament, which also
includes a mackerel division, registers only 100 anglers age 8-16. Participants
are eligible to win trophies in positions 1-6 in three age group categories.
The Tournament always sells out quickly, and a vessel is available for mackerel
fishing for the first 35 sign-ups in that division.
Teaching kids to fish responsibly and to appreciate and
understand the treasure of the Seacoast environment is at the root of
Tournament day. Organized by Little Harbor Charitable Foundation (LHCF) the
annual event has raised more than $2 million with proceeds benefitting
organizations serving Seacoast kids and young adults.

This year Tournament proceeds will benefit the following
important programs:
Rozalia Project for a Clean Ocean
will be delivering interactive educational programs on marine debris in
Seacoast schools and in partnership with local experiential educational
programs during this summer and fall.
Wounded Warriors at Northeast
Passage offers a unique program of therapeutic recreation for our returning
young veterans with physical and brain injuries.
End 68 Hours of Hunger is an all
volunteer organization delivering nourishing food for the weekend to deserving
elementary school children.
NH Coastal Conservation Association
(CCA) supports our local kids at risk with a day of fishing on the Atlantic
Queen.
Tournament fishing begins early Sunday morning followed by
lunch, entertainment and the opportunity to board and tour the “American
Promise,” prior to the presentation of awards. Registration includes two
tickets to lunch and an angler gear bag.
