
Winnacunnet School District administrators are looking for parents, students and residents interested in joining a fledgling study committee to explore the steps required to transition the school's core courses to full-year instruction in the 2013-2014 school year.
The school will host an organization meeting for the study committee in the lecture hall on Monday, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m., and anyone is welcome to attend.
"We invite you to be part of this process and are looking for representation from each of our sending towns and of our diverse student population," reads a notice posted on the School Administrative Unit 21 website. "Your input and participation ensures thoughtful changes for our students."

The was a last year, drawing before the Winnacunnet School Board its mandate to begin yearlong math and English courses for freshmen and sophomores in the 2012-2013 school year.
The study committee will select and analyze various data from WHS and all of SAU 21's sending schools to "identify learning gaps due to scheduling, course sequencing and other factors" and "develop recommendations for yearlong core courses and a schedule to support all students," according to SAU 21's website.
