The Warriors took a tough loss to begin its hockey season 0-1.

The Winnacunnet High School Warriors ice hockey team couldn't match Spaulding High School's offensive intensity in Wednesday night's Division II season opener, falling to the Red Raiders 7-1 in Rochester.
Foster's Daily Democrat has reported that Spaulding's Brent Phillips led the way for his team's offensive explosion, netting two goals and three assists. The Raiders (1-0) held the Warriors (0-1) to just 16 shots on goal.
The Warriors' next game is at Keene at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15.
