Young Boy Dies In Overnight Hampton House Fire

The young boy was unaccounted for when residents were evacuated.

HAMPTON, NH- A young boy died in an overnight fire in a Hampton home Wednesday morning.

Fire officials said they got the call at 12:46 a.m. about a fire in a home 32 Thorwood Avenue and by the time they got on scene the fire was "heavily involved." The fire tore through two homes and fire officials said the flames were too intense to enter through the initial home- they focused on extinguishing the fire from the outside.

High winds contributed to the spread of the fire to an adjacent home where fire officials said three people evacuated out of and a cottage behind the initial home.
