A police sergeant was sent to North Road for a report of a woman in a home with gun and a girl who was refusing to come out of the home. The sergeant met with the woman’s husband in the driveway of the property, and while assessing the situation, reportedly heard a single gunshot inside of the home. A number of police departments were called in to assist, including the state police and SWAT crisis negotiation team.

“Shortly thereafter, Deslongchamps came to the side door with a handgun in hand,” McGillen alleged. “A perimeter trooper gave her verbal commands to drop the gun and exit the residence. Deslongchamps dropped the handgun however she failed to fully comply by walking back inside the residence.”
