Alleged Bank Robber Quickly Caught
Breaking: NHSP, Londonderry, and Manchester Police quickly catch suspect Brian Christoffels on I-93.
MANCHESTER, NH — Law enforcement personnel were able to quickly arrest a robbery suspect on I-93 in Londonderry after an incident at a Manchester bank this afternoon, according to Manchester Police. Brian Christoffels, 35, of Second Street in Manchester, was arrested on Oct. 10, 2016, for robbery.

According to police, the TD Bank on South Main Street was robbed at just before 1:15 p.m. Officers quickly responded to a panic alarm and found out that the institution had been robbed by a man. The suspect reportedly passed a note to a teller and demanded money. No weapon was shown during the incident, according to police.

Not long after the robbery, police received information that the suspect might be on I-93 in Londonderry near Exit 4. New Hampshire State Police, as well as officers from Londonderry and Manchester, were able to stop traffic on the off-ramp to check vehicles.
During the checks, an officer approached a Toyota Tundra with a driver that allegedly matched the description of the robbery suspect, according to Lt. Andrew Vincent of the Manchester Police Department.

“When (the) officer approached the vehicle, the driver, Christoffels, stated, ‘I give up,’” according to Vincent.
Christoffels was arrested and charged.
