Police warn of phone scam in Londonderry (newportdispatch.com) — Londonderry police are warning residents about a phone scam where callers pose as department sergeants, threaten arrest over missed federal court or jury duty, and demand immediate payment via gift cards, apps, or cash. If you get one of these calls, hang up, share no personal or financial details, and instead contact Londonderry police or the relevant agency using a verified number.
3. 7 orchards in New Hampshire perfect for apple-picking, baked goods, & fall fun (granitepostnews.com) — Mack's Apples in Londonderry is highlighted as New Hampshire's largest pick-your-own destination, with a farm market, ice cream stand, cider donuts, and a fall corn maze. While exact apple-picking dates are still pending, locals can already visit daily for fresh produce, baked goods, and peach picking, and watch Mack's social media for updates on apples, pumpkins, and sunflowers.
4. Ayotte, Warmington set to face off for governor in general election (wmur.com) — New Hampshire's governor's race is set, with Republican Kelly Ayotte facing Democrat Cinde Warmington in November, after Ayotte secured her party's nomination. Ayotte met with voters in Londonderry, stressing safety, school cellphone restrictions, and low taxes, while Warmington is focusing on affordability issues like healthcare, housing, childcare, and electric rates ahead of the Nov. 3 general election.
