Man From Pelham Dies After Crash On Interstate 93 In Londonderry

LONDONDERRY, NH — A man from Pelham died Friday after a crash on Interstate 93.

State police were sent to the area of Mile Marker 12 just after 1:45 p.m. for a report of a crash in Londonderry. According to witnesses, Robert Lemieux of Pelham was driving a Buick sedan when he left the highway and entered the median.

"The vehicle then continued traveling there for a distance before crashing into a concrete bridge support," state police said. "First responders attempted life-saving measures before transporting the driver to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased."

Lemieux was 38.

State police said the left lanes on the southbound side of the Interstate were closed for about 90 minutes during the investigation and cleanup. Troopers were assisted by Londonderry and Derry firefighters and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

Troopers are investigating all aspects of this incident.
