Art on the Common Coming Sept. 8

Hosted by the Londonderry Arts Council, the annual Art on the Common show will again take residence for the day at the Londonderry Commons on Saturday, September 8th from 10AM to 4PM.

Located on the corners of Mammoth and Pillsbury Roads this event features artists from New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine.

This year’s Art on the Common features our standard display of fine art in the categories of Painting, Drawing, Sculpture and3D Works, Fine Art Photography and a multiform category entitled “Eclecticco”. In the Eclecticco category you will find print making, collage, mixed media and found object art.

In addition the Londonderry Arts Council has added a special theme competition to this years event titled “Bare Essentials”. This theme pays tribute to the nude as a valid subject for artistic expression throughout history and will feature tastefully done works of art that celebrate the human form.

To be a part of this year’s Art On The Common download and complete the AOTC 2012 Application. Follow the instructions on the form and  to submit it to Brian Farmer. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Londonderry Friends of Music will be on hand selling Mums from 10AM to 2 PM. Plants donated at cost by Orchard Hill Greenhouse on Pillsbury Rd. in Londonderry will benefit the Friends of Music general fund.
