Granite State Flash Relay Team Competes at Reggie Lewis Arena
Local Youth Compete at in 4x200 at Reggie Lewis Arena

Starting the year off in a grand way, 4 Flash runners went to Boston this past Saturday to represent the club at the famous New Balance Indoor Grand Prix meet. Held every year at the Reggie Lewis Arena, this meet is know as a kickoff for the professional indoor season, and each year attracts some of the sport's top athletes.
At the invitation of USATF New England, Flash fielded a team to go up against top NE youth track clubs in a 4x200 mixed (boys and girls) relay. In a time of 1:56.66 they came in a close 3rd place, less than 4 seconds off top team Cambridge Jets in 1:52.94. This was the first time Flash has fielded a mixed team in this event, and the closest the team has ever come to the top time. Congrats to Jessica Ewing (Amherst), Keelan MacKenzie (Mont Vernon), Mollie Simpson (Manchester) and Declan Hotter (Londonderry) and their families on a fantastic night!
Full results from the meet- including high-school phenom Mary Cain's record-breaking 2 mile race against Olympic gold medalist Tirunesh Dibaba, and US Olympic silver-medalist Galen Rupp's attempt to break the US record in the 3000- can be found at http://www.nbindoorgrandprix.com/events-results/, and video of the Youth 4x200 at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moWV-m2eU-4.
