With Fallout Growing, Does Sen. Shaheen Still Stand by Her 'Praise' for Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's 'Leadership' on Benghazi?

Video of Sen. Shaheen 'thanking' former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for her 'leadership' on Benghazi is included.

(Manchester - May 13, 2013)  With pressure mounting as fallout from questions regarding a cover-up of the Benghazi scandal grows by the day, Granite Staters deserve answers from Senator Jeanne Shaheen.  They want to know whether she still stands by her comments praising former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on her handling of the Benghazi attacks. Shaheen's comments in January included "thanking" her for her "leadership" on Benghazi. Video of Senator Jeanne Shaheen's comments during the Senate hearing on January23rd regarding the Benghazi consulate attacks can be viewed here.

Recent coverage from CBS News and others have reported on accusations from top lawmakers claiming there is "no question" Clinton's circle was involved in the Benghazi "cover-up."  Derek Dufresne, spokesman for Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire made the following statement:

"Granite Staters were deeply affected by the terrorist attacks in Benghazi that resulted in the deaths of four Americans. The families of the victims and all Americans are still awaiting answers from the Administration and former Secretary of State Clinton on their handling of the Benghazi attacks.  In recent days, many questions have been raised about Secretary Clinton and individuals within her chain of command's responsibility in covering up information regarding the attacks.
"With pressure mounting, Granite Staters want to know whether Senator Jeanne Shaheen still stands by her comments praising the former Secretary of State's handling of the attacks and the events afterwards. New Hampshire deserves a leader who will seek answers to the tough questions about an attack on Americans, not one who would rather use her limited time questioning the Secretary of State to give praises for political gain."
