Car Breaks on the Rise in Londonderry

The following are excerpts from the Londonderry police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, July 23

  • 8:04 a.m.: A caller on Grove Street reported that her vehicle, her mother's vehicle and her stepfather's vehicle were gone through overnight. Money was taken from one of the vehicles.
  • 9:23 a.m.: A caller reported that sometime between July 19 and July 23, his vehicle was broken into at the Park and Ride on Garden Lane. Nothing was taken, but there was minor damage to the vehicle.
  • 10:49 a.m.: A caller on Grove Street reported that her vehicle was gone through overnight, and some loose change was taken.
  • 11:44 a.m.: A caller on Forest Street reported that her vehicle was left unlocked overnight and some loose change was taken from it.
  • 12:16 p.m.: Police received a report of a minor motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of Tedeschi Foods on Rockingham Road.
  • 6:09 p.m.: Police received a report of a 2-car motor vehicle accident with no injury on Raymond Wieczorek Drive.
  • 6:36 p.m.: Police assisted the Londonderry Fire Department for a call on Forest Street involving a 3 year old with his head stuck in a dresser drawer.
