Carson inducted into NH Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence Hall of Fame
State Senator sponsored a number of bills that strengthened domestic violence laws.

CONCORD, NH — State Sen. Sharon Carson, R-Londonderry, was recently inducted into the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence Hall of Fame. Carson, Senate Judiciary Committee chairwoman, according to a prestatement, co-sponsored and worked on legislation this past session that is supportive of the Coalitions work to end Domestic and Sexual violence in the state.
“It is truly an honor to be included in the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence [NHCADSV] Hall of Fame," she said. "The organization’s goal of ending domestic and sexual violence is one that is easy to support.”
As chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Carson said she as proud to support legislation integral to the NHCADSV‘s work, that will have a dramatic effect on strengthening the state's no-tolerance policy for domestic and sexual violence in the state.

"This past year, specifically, the legislature passed two bills, including SB 468 which ensures sex offenders are not removed from the Sex Offender Registry, and SB 465 which establishes criminal penalties for the dissemination of private sexual images without obtaining prior consent," she said. "I am proud to have been a co-sponsor for both of these bills that became law in our state this session to protect the rights of our citizens against these types of crimes. I want to thank the Coalition for the very meaningful work that they do for victims in New Hampshire and I promise to continue working on important bills and initiatives that support and protect domestic and sexual violence victims next session.”
