Chamber to Hold Business, Government Reception Jan. 16

Networking event in Derry lets you meet with leaders that represent Londonderry, Windham, and other communities.

The Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce will hold a Business & Government Reception from 7:30 to 9 a.m., Friday, Jan. 16, at the Derry Opera House, 29 West Broadway, in downtown Derry.

The event will bring together members of the region’s business community and legislators representing Derry, Londonderry, Atkinson, Auburn, Chester, Hampstead, and Windham.

Confirmed elected officials attending the event include Executive Councilor Chris Pappas,D­-Manchester; state Sen. Regina Birdsell, R­-Hampstead; state Sen. Sharon Carson, R­-Londonderry; and 16 state representatives.

“As the 2015 legislative session gets underway in Concord, the Business & Government Reception is an opportunity for members of the region’s business community and legislators representing our region to get to know one another better, and for legislators to learn more about the issues that are impacting the businesses in their districts,” said Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce President Will Stewart.

The reception is sponsored by Derry Medical Center, with coffee and a continental breakfast provided by the Red Arrow Diner Londonderry. The event is organized by the Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee, which serves as the organization’s policy­recommending body and helps the business community forge stronger relationships with policy makers.

The Business & Government Reception is free for Chamber members, legislators, and other elected officials. Not­yet­Chamber­members can attend for $10.
