Coach Sues Londonderry Flea Market
Lawsuit claims as many as 30 vendors were selling knockoff merchandise.
High-end handbag retailer Coach is suing the owner of the Londonderry flea market, claiming that as many as 30 vendors there are selling knockoff Coach merchandise.
The Nashua Telegraph first reported on Wednesday that Coach is suing Londonderry Marketplace owner Peter Sapatis for counterfeiting and trademark infringement. The lawsuit was filed in December, and Sapatis has denied the allegations.
This isn't the first time a local flea market has been sued by Coach. In 2010, the company sued the owner of Derry's Grandview Flea Market and up to 20 vendors who were supposedly selling knockoff Coach merchandise. That same flea market had been raided by federal authorities in 2009, according to the New Hampshire Business Review.
