ConCom to Discuss Musquash Target Shooting

The Dog Park Study Committee also meets tonight.

2) ConCom takes up Musquash shooting: The Conservation Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Moose Hill Council Chambers at Londonderry Town Hall. Target shooting in the Musquash and the New England Cottontail are among the items on the agenda.

3) Dog Park Study Committee meets, too: The Dog Park Study Committee will meet at 6 p.m. at the Cable Access Studio.

5) On this day in 1865, Confederate General Robert E. Lee surrendered his 28,000 troops to Union General Ulysses S. Grant, effectively ending the Civil War. Forced to abandon the Confederate capital of Richmond, blocked from joining the surviving Confederate force in North Carolina, and harassed constantly by Union cavalry, Lee had no other option.
