Crash Call Leads Queen City Cops To Shooting, Stabbing Nearby
The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office is investigating a suspicious death Sunday in Downtown Manchester.
MANCHESTER, NH — Police responding to a motor vehicle accident Sunday morning in New Hampshire's largest city were then drawn to another incident nearby — that involved both a shooting and stabbing.
Just before 2 a.m., officers were sent to the area of Union and Lowell streets for a motor vehicle crash. When they arrived, officers heard a loud altercation a few blocks away, in the area of Lowell and Beech streets, and headed there to find out what was going on.
"Upon responding to that area, officers located a subject who had suffered a gunshot wound and a second subject arrived at a local hospital shortly after that with an apparent stab wound," according to Sgt. Tom DuBois of the Manchester Police Department. "Both subjects appear to have been involved in the same incident."
