Derry Man Charged with Receiving Stolen Property
The following are excerpts from the Londonderry police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Jan. 22
- 7:16 a.m.: Police received a report of a car hitting a sign at Hardy and Bancroft roads. The sign was broken off its base.
- 8:46 a.m.: Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident on Olde Country Village Road.
- 1:06 p.m.: Richard A. Swift Jr., 25, of 17048 NW 66 Ct., Hialeah, Fla. was charged with possession of controlled/narcotic drugs. He was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in Derry District Court on Feb. 4.
- 4:09 p.m.: Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident with no injury on Meadow Drive.
- 9:57 p.m.: William Logue, 44, of 23 Wiley Hill Road, Londonderry was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or liquor. He was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in Derry District Court on Feb. 11.
Wednesday, Jan. 23
- 12:13 a.m.: George Nelson Spates IV, 24, of 44 Olde Country Village Road, Londonderry was charged with reckless operation, being a habitual offender and criminal mischief (vandalism). He was released on $5,000 bail and scheduled to appear in Derry District Court on Feb. 11.
- 4:06 p.m.: Alan Hayward, 40, of 54 Old Auburn Road, Derry was charged with receiving stolen property. He was held on $10,000 bail and scheduled to appear in Derry District Court on Jan. 24.
