Derry Police Seek Assistance with Burglary Case

Do you recognize the man in these surveillance shots? He allegedly burglarized a home on Mitchell Avenue.

DERRY, NH - Derry Police are seeking the public's help investigating a burglary incident from this afternoon.

At around 1:45 p.m. on April 18, 2016, police were sent to Mitchell Avenue for a report of a burglary.

The female resident came home with her small children to discover a man inside her house, according to the report. She immediately fled the home with the children and telephoned Derry Police.

The burglar also fled the home through a rear door and was able to get away in a waiting vehicle. The vehicle was described only as a silver car.

Officers conducted an extensive search of the area but could not locate the suspect or vehicle. No one was injured in the incident.

The investigation revealed that the suspect likely broke in through a rear door. The homeowner is determining what items may have been stolen from the house. Home surveillance cameras captured the suspect’s image during the crime.
