WATCH THE VIDEO: Derry Resident Gets No Love from Britney on 'X Factor'

The highlight of Tuesday's episode of "X Factor," the singing show featuring celebrity judges Simon Cowell and Britney Spears, was an appearance by 20-year-old Pat Ford of Derry.

Ford, who is apparently a huge fan of Spears, came out and did an ear-splitting rendition of Spears' song, "Circus." The performance drew boos from the crowd and grimaces from Spears and the other judges on the panel.

"It was like you had an argument with Britney Spears, got drunk, and decided to scream the song at her," said Cowell.

"It wouldn't happen – I would never argue with Britney," replied Ford. "Never ever. Britney, I love you."

A disappointed Ford was last seen slinking off the stage, without even getting a chance to present Spears with the flowers he had brought for her.

"Oh my God," Cowell said afterward. "That defines the word uncomfortable."

Ford, you may recall, drew less than stellar reviews when he auditioned for "American Idol" back in 2010 as a 17-year-old Pinkerton Academy senior, performing a version of Spears' "Womanizer." Simon was a judge on "Idol" at the time, but didn't seem to recognize Ford during his "X Factor" appearance on Tuesday night.
