Five Things: Cold Weather Continues

1) Cold weather continues. Today will be sunny and windy, with a high of 19 degrees. Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low of 1.

2) Budget Committee meeting. The Budget Committee is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Moose Hill Council Chambers at Londonderry Town Hall.

3) DI fundraiser. Papa Gino’s in Londonderry will host a fundraiser for the Londonderry Destination ImagiNation team tonight, according to Londonderry News. All you have to do is stop in for dinner between 5 and 9 p.m., and 20 percent of what you spend will go toward the local DI team.

4) Filing period is open. The filing period for Londonderry town and school office opened Wednesday. Here's a quick look at what seats are open.

5) On this day in 1935, canned beer made its debut. In partnership with the American Can Company, the Gottfried Krueger Brewing Company delivered 2,000 cans of Krueger's Finest Beer and Krueger's Cream Ale to faithful Krueger drinkers in Richmond, VA. Ninety-one percent of the drinkers approved of the canned beer, driving Krueger to give the green light to further production.
