Five Things: School Bond Hearing Tonight

1) Cooler weather prevails. Today will be partly cloudy, with a high of 38. Tonight will be cloudy, with a low of 28.

2. School Board bond hearing. The School Board will hold a public hearing tonight at 7 in the Moose Hill Conference Room on the proposed bond to be placed before voters at the Feb. 8 school deliberative session for various renovations and construction projects throughout the district.

3. Budget Committee meets, too. The Budget Committee is also scheduled to meet tonight at 7, in the Sunnycrest Conference Room at Londonderry Town Hall.

4) Chamber event this morning. The Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce invites local business owners to attend its “Tools and the Fuels for Professional Growth!" seminar at 7:30 this morning at Prudential Verani Realty, located just off Exit 5 at 1 Verani Way in Londonderry. The cost is $5 for members and $10 for non-members.

5) On this day in 1967, at the Los Angeles Coliseum, the Green Bay Packers beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the first-ever world championship game of American football, now known as the Super Bowl.
