Five Things: Snow Possible Tonight

Only about one inch is expected to fall in Londonderry.

1) Cloudy and cool. Today will be partly cloudy, with a high of 28. There's a chance of snow late tonight, with a low of 20.

2) An early look at the 2016 field? Fox News Chief Political Correspondent Carl Cameron will be the featured speaker at “Politics & Eggs" this morning at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics. He is expected to discuss the outcome of the recent presidential election as well as the outlook for the 2016 field.

3) Who's running? The filing period for town and school offices closed on Friday. If you missed it, here's our rundown of who filed for the various openings. Town Meeting Day is Tuesday, March 12.

4) Musquash Day. The Londonderry Conservation Commission and University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension are co-sponsoring the 22nd annual Musquash Conservation Area Field Day on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is a fee-free event.

5) On this day in 1994, white supremacist Byron De La Beckwith was convicted in the murder of African-American civil rights leader Medgar Evers, over 30 years after the crime occurred. Evers was gunned down in the driveway of his Jackson, Mississippi, home on June 12, 1963, while his wife and the couple's three small children were inside.
