YMCA of Greater Londonderry annual wine tasting event

Enjoy the wines of Oz Thursday, May 8 during The YMCA of Greater Londonderry 13th annual wine tasting and auction benefit at the Executive Court in Manchester, NH, 6:00 -8:30 pm. This year’s event theme takes guests through the wonderful world Oz!

The annual wine tasting event supports the YMCA Reach Out for Youth and Families campaign. Reach Out for Youth and Families provides opportunities for individuals and families in the greater Londonderry communities who are in need of financial assistance to participate in all Y program offerings. The Y nurtures the potential of children and teens, improves the nation’s health and well-being, and gives back and supports its neighbors. The YMCA of Greater Londonderry, a branch of The Granite YMCA, builds a healthy spirit, mind and body in individuals and families by instilling the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility through our practices and programs. Last year, The Granite YMCA served more than 35,000 children, teens and adults from 24 different communities, and partnered with 79 local community organizations.  The Y also provided $1,623,000 in scholarship funds to more than 18,773 disadvantaged youth and families to ensure the Y is a welcoming place for everyone in the communities they serve.

Various local restaurants, wineries and beverage distributors attend this annual event, serving delicious gourmet food and drink. A diverse silent auction and live auction are held throughout the event, showcasing items such as special trips, spa packages, signed sports memorabilia, gift certificates, and more. Funds raised for the Reach Out for Youth and Families campaign during the wine tasting allow the YMCA of Greater Londonderry to better support local communities, through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
