The Hampton Union reported Caron took a personal leave of absence from his Londonderry post in June in order to spend more time with his wife, who was battling cancer. The Derry News reported the Londonderry Board of Selectmen decided to part ways with Caron because he was unsure when he'd be able to return to work after the absence and because a mishandling of impact fees during Caron's tenure will cause Londonderry to return between $1.2 million and $1.3 million to residents and developers.
