Guinta Hosts Talk About Eastern Slopes Airport
Rep says expansion is vital to tourism industry in New Hampshire.

U.S. Rep. Frank Guinta, R-NH, hosted a roundtable yesterday to discuss the challenges associated with the expansion and improvement of the Eastern Slopes Airport located in Fryeburg, Maine, according to a press statement.
“Tourism is New Hampshire’s second largest industry, creating thousands of seasonal and yearly jobs, countless economic opportunities for small businesses, construction projects for Granite State developers and state revenue,” he said. “ The expansion and improvement of the Eastern Slopes Airport is absolutely vital to strengthening our state’s tourism industry and encouraging more out-of-state visitors to travel to the Mt. Washington Valley region to experience the beauty we know so well.”
The roundtable was attended by members of the airport’s Board of Directors and representatives from the offices of U.S. Rep. Bruce Poliquin, R-ME, and U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, R-ME.
