My name is Robert, and my wife Alisa was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013.

Last year, our daughter Kacie started a Relay For Life team for her mom and our team walked overnight at the Pinkerton track in Derry. This year, we are doing it again, and I’m proud to be the captain of “Team Alisa.”

I am reaching out to our community in order to raise, not only funds, but awareness that self exams truly do save lives. Alisa detected a lump in her right breast just before her yearly mammogram and brought it to the attention of her doctors where they performed a biopsy and found it malignant. Her early detection saved her from allowing the cancer to spread, but not every person is so lucky.
