I-93 Traffic Shift Could Cause Delays

The shift is expected to take place on Wednesday near Exit 5 in Londonderry.

Submitted by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces traffic lane adjustments are scheduled to be made along Interstate 93 southbound at Exit 5 in Londonderry.

Weather permitting; all lanes of I-93 southbound traffic will be shifted into a new interstate configuration. This work will take place during daytime hours on Wednesday, Dec. 4 from approximately 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will include removal of existing striping and new striping for the newly reconstructed roadway, and the realignment of I-93 southbound traffic from the right lanes to the newly reconstructed left lanes.

Minor traffic delays can be expected on I-93 southbound, as state police rolling roadblocks will be used to assist in completing the work.

This work is part of the construction of four new I-93 Exit 5 bridges, NH Route 28 reconstruction, and I-93 reconstruction in the Exit 5 area. Severino Trucking. Co., Inc. of Candia is the general contractor for the $37 million project, which is scheduled for completion in June 2014.
