The National Weather Service issued an alert and said ice accumulations could be "significant."

Here's the NWS forecast for the weekend:

  • Saturday: A chance of rain and snow showers before 1 p.m., then rain likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
  • Saturday night: Rain or freezing rain. Low around 32. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
  • Sunday: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 43. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
  • Sunday night: A chance of rain or freezing rain. Cloudy, with a low around 32. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
