Illegal Alien from Guatemalan to be Deported Again
Hilmar Chavez-Sanchez, of Guatemala, pleaded guilty this week to illegally reentering the United States after previously being deported.

CONCORD, NH - An illegal alien from Guatemala that has been previously deported will be deported again after pleading guilty to illegally re-entering the United States, according to a ruling in U.S. District Court.
Hilmar Chavez-Sanchez, of Guatemala, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to time served after being arrested on March 3, 2016.
On Feb. 15, 2016, an ICE-ERO Deportation Officer received a duty call from a New Hampshire State Police trooper who stated that that he had stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-93. The vehicle was occupied by five individuals, three of whom refused to provide identification or answer the trooper’s questions, according to U.S. Attorney Emily Gray Rice.

"Two ICE-ERO officers traveled to the scene to provide assistance," she noted. "Upon arriving, they observed the New Hampshire State Trooper in a foot pursuit of the defendant. The trooper pursued the defendant for approximately 150 to 200 yards before apprehending him to discover that the defendant was not in possession of a valid driver license."
The man was then transported to the Rockingham County Department of Corrections. A search incident to arrest led to the discovery of a Guatemalan drivers’ license in the name of Hilmar Chavez-Sanchez.

The ICE-ERO officers were able to determine that Chavez-Sanchez had been previously deported in 2009 and again in 2011. Chavez-Sanchez will again be deported, according to a press statement.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Alfred Rubega.
