Sports run deep in Londonderry, and Londonderry High School has long been at the heart of it. It’s no surprise some standout talent once wore the Lancers uniform. Today we're celebrating five unforgettable athletes from Londonderry High School who made a name for themselves well beyond the hometown field.


1. Noelle Lambert – Team USA Paralympian, Track & Field

Noelle Lambert is a Team USA Paralympic track and field athlete, motivational speaker and founder of the Born to Run Foundation. A former Division I lacrosse player at UMass Lowell, Lambert lost her left leg in a moped accident in 2016. She returned to elite athletics as a para-athlete, competing internationally while using her platform to advocate for adaptive sports, resilience and mental strength. 2. Jason Ball – NFL Offensive Lineman (San Diego Chargers)

A Londonderry native and high school standout, Jason Ball went on to play collegiate football at the University of New Hampshire before being drafted by the San Diego Chargers. He played three seasons in the NFL and was voted the Chargers’ best offensive lineman during his rookie year in 2002, earning respect for his toughness and reliability in the trenches. 3. Ryan Griffin – NFL Tight End (Texans, Jets, Bears)

Ryan Griffin attended Londonderry High School before starring at the University of Connecticut, where he became one of the program’s most productive tight ends. Drafted in the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans, Griffin went on to enjoy a professional career that included time with the New York Jets and Chicago Bears. 4. Driss Dallahi – Professional Cheerleader (New England Patriots)

Driss Dallahi made history as the first male cheerleader for the New England Patriots in more than 35 years. A Londonderry High School alum, Dallahi broke barriers in professional cheerleading and gained national recognition for challenging traditional gender norms in sports entertainment at the NFL level. 5. Aliza Simpson – NCAA Basketball Player & State Champion

Aliza Simpson, a 2014 graduate of Londonderry High School, was one of New Hampshire’s most decorated high school basketball players. She earned New Hampshire Gatorade Player of the Year and NHIAA Player of the Year honors after leading Londonderry to a state championship and surpassing 1,000 career points. Simpson went on to play collegiate basketball at the University of New Hampshire, contributing to the Wildcats’ program while balancing athletics and academics. (Sources: UNHWildcats, UnionLeader)
