Litchfield Pair Clocked Going 128 mph on I-93

New Hampshire State Police charge Rembert Zambrana, Erin Crete arrested for reckless conduct, marijuana possession.

A man and woman from Litchfield were arrested tonight after allegedly driving their motorcycles at high speeds and operating dangerously on I-93.

Rembert Zambrana, 34, and Erin Crete, 31, both of Litchfield, were arrested and charged with reckless conduct and transportation of drugs (marijuana).

According to a press statement, at just before 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 16, New Hampshire State Police began receiving complaints about “a large amount of motorcycles operating recklessly as they traveled along Route 101 from the area of Exit 9,” near Exeter, according to the police. “They were described as holding up traffic then speeding up and operating recklessly.”

A trooper from Troop B in Bedford spotted a group of motorcycles entering I-93 south off Route 101 west about 20 minutes after the initial complaints came in.

The trooper noted that two of the motorcycles “were operating at a very high rate of speed” and clocked them going 128 mph in a 55 zone.

Another trooper was called to the Interstate and both motorcycles, Zambrana riding a 2010 Honda CBR600 and Crete a 2008 Suzuki GSXR600, were pulled over and arrested.

Both Zambrana and Crete were processed and released and are due in Manchester District Court on Oct. 6.
